Saleh Saeed Lootah
Saleh Saeed Lootah is the chairman of SSL Holding and Executive Director of the SS Lootah Group, one of the region’s leading family – run businesses. He is also the founder of Dubai Cooperative Society and Al Islami Foods. Mr. Lootah is a graduate of Islamic Banking from the Islamic School for Training and Education and is an alumnus of IMD Switzerland and Harvard Business School.

Marwan Al Garem
Marwan Al Garem has more than 20 years’ experience in senior management roles across Europe, the United States and Middle Eastern Market in companies such as PepsiCo and Beirsdorf AG. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from New York University and an MBA from PACE University. His industry experience also includes logistics, insurance and real estate and he has been with Al Islami Foods for 15 years.
Hamid BadawiDeputy Chief Executive Officer
Hamid Badawi is a founding employee of Al Islami Foods and has been with the company for 35 years. He was instrumental in establishing the UAE’s first food processing facility, and in the acquisition of the new Al Islami processing plant in Hamriya Freezone. He pioneered the company’s procurement activities and was a key driver behind sourcing meat from Brazil.
Brent PearsonChief Financial Officer
Brent Pearson oversees the supply chain, planning, human resources, IT, legal and finance teams for Al Islami Foods. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from RMIT, Australia. Before joining Al Islami in 2012, he served as Group Financial Controller for La Trobe Financial Services Group. He has also held key positions in Qantas Airways, Bankers Trust, Coca Cola and Deloitte.
Khaled ElzoghbyHead of Manufacturing and Quality
Khaled Elzoghby has more than 20 years’ experience in food manufacturing, having worked for companies such as IFFCO and Khazan Meat Factory. He served as a Factory Manager for Al Islami Foods for seven years before securing his current role. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Food Science Technology from Cairo, Egypt.
Nisham MohideenHead of International Sales
Nisham Mohideen has held various sales positions in his 15-year career at Al Islami Foods, and was instrumental in developing the traditional trade channel, with a current focus on the HORECA segment. He holds a BTEC degree in Business and Finance from Dubai Aviation College, a BSC degree from Calicut University in India and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.
Illja DjartovskiHead of Local Sales
Ilija Djartovski has been in Al Islami since 2013, he was the architect behind the significant improvements in supply chain operational efficiencies. He held position in PME Group of Companies and in KRI KRI S.A. He recently embarked in a new journey, leading Al Islami Foods local sales division. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management.
Ivy Dela CruzHead of Marketing
Ivy Dela Cruz
Ivy Dela Cruz is the Head of Marketing at Al Islami Foods and oversees the integrated marketing functions, managing government and private entities partnerships and strategic alliances. She worked for a multinational frozen food company prior to joining Al Islami. Her passion towards content marketing, digital platforms, sharing the love for good food and making a difference, inspired her to create the programs: Al Islami Kitchen and Al Islami Kids Club.
Muna AlketbiHR Director
Muna Alketbi, the Director of Human Resources Department at Al Islami Foods is at the forefront for Employee related affairs. Her diverse career experience within the Government and Private sectors has given a multi-cultural experience which she uses to spearhead several Employee-centric programs and benefits. As an Emirati, she wishes to bring Al Islami at par with multi-national company practices with focus on better productivity through a motivated work force.
