Saleh Saeed Lootah is Chairman of SSL Holding and Executive Director of the SS Lootah Group, one of the region’s leading family-run businesses and the founder of Dubai Co-operative Society and Al Islami Foods. Mr Lootah is a graduate in Islamic Banking from the Islamic School for Training & Education and is an alumnus of IMD Switzerland and Harvard Business School. He has been with the company for 35 years since its inception.

Marwan Al Garem has more than 20 years’ experience in senior management roles in European, US and Middle Eastern markets at companies such as PepsiCo and Beirsdorf AG. He holds a BBA from New York University and an MBA from Pace University. His industry experience also includes logistics, insurance and real estate and he has been with Al Islami Foods for 15 years.

Hamid Badawi

Hamid Badawi is a founding employee of Al Islami Foods and has been with the company for 35 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the UAE’s first food-processing facility and in the acquisition of the new Al Islami processing plant in Al Hamriya Free Zone. He pioneered the company’s procurement activities and was a driver behind the sourcing of meat from Brazil.

Brent Pearson

Brent Pearson is responsible for the supply chain, planning, human resources, IT, legal and finance teams for Al Islami Foods. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business with distinction from UTS, Australia, and a master’s degree in Finance from RMIT, Australia. Before joining Al Islami in 2012, he served as Group Financial Controller for La Trobe Financial Services Group. He has also held key positions in Qantas Airways, Bankers Trust, Coca Cola and Deloitte.

Khaled Elzoghby

Khaled Elzoghby has more than 20 years’ experience in food manufacturing, working in companies such as IFFCO and Khazan Meat Factory. He served as Factory Manager for Al Islami Foods for seven years before taking on his current role. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Food Science and Technology from Cairo University.

Nisham Mohideen

Nisham Mohideen

Nisham Mohideen has held various sales positions in his 15 years at Al Islami and was instrumental in the development of the traditional trade channel, with a current focus on the HORECA segment. He holds a BTEC in Business and Finance from Dubai Aviation College, a BSc from Calicut University in India, and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, UK.

Ilija Djartovski

Illja Djartovski has more than 15 years’ experience in supply chain management. He held senior positions at PME Group of Companies and Kri Kri in Greece before joining Al Islami Foods four years ago. He was responsible for the optimisation of the company’s third-party logistics outsourcing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
